Pump engineering blog

Our blog is published in Indonesian. Over 130 technical articles cover dewatering systems, NFPA 20 fire pumps, Yamada AODD applications, NPSH calculations, friction head, material selection, and pump retrofit case studies. Topics are written by the PT Arsindo engineering team for facility engineers, contractors, and procurement officers working in Indonesia.

Why Indonesian-only?

The articles serve our primary market, which is Indonesia. The technical vocabulary (NFPA 20, NPSH, AODD, alignment, MRO) is mostly English even within Indonesian text, so engineers comfortable with English-language pump terminology can usually still follow the substance. We may translate selected high-traffic articles in the future; today, the blog is ID-only by editorial decision.

What the blog covers

  • Fluid characteristics for material selection: pH, temperature, viscosity, abrasive content, NACE compatibility chart.
  • Pump sizing fundamentals: NPSH (available vs required), Total Dynamic Head (TDH), friction loss using Hazen-Williams, viscosity correction factors.
  • Diaphragm pump (AODD) applications: chemical, mining slurry, food & beverage (FDA-compliant), automotive coolant, environmental remediation.
  • Fire pump systems: NFPA 20 compliance, electric vs diesel driver, jockey pump sizing, pre-fab WITANABE™ package fabrication.
  • Dewatering systems: pontoon vs submersible trade-offs, mining water level fluctuation, IoT remote monitoring.
  • Service & maintenance: shaft alignment with laser, vibration analysis, thermal imaging, preventive maintenance contracts.
