Pipe spools are pre-fabricated piping assemblies built off-site, then trucked to the project for bolt-up. Done right, they cut field welding time by 60-70% versus stick-build, with QC documentation that auditors and insurers can verify.
Standards. Fabrication per ASME B31.3 for process piping. Welding qualified to ASME Section IX (WPS / PQR / WPQ on file). 100% visual inspection on every weld; selective radiographic test (RT) per project category; dye-penetrant test (PT) on critical joints and stainless welds.
Material range. Carbon steel (A106 Gr B, A53), stainless (SS304L / SS316L), duplex (UNS S32205) for chloride service, and HDPE / PP for non-metallic chemical lines. Flange standards: ANSI 150# / 300# / 600# raised face, or DIN PN10 / 16 / 25, with bolt-up hardware to match.
Pump-package integration. Spools shipped on the same skid as the pump (see Baseframe / Skid) so suction and discharge runs come site-ready: pre-tested at 1.5× design pressure, hangers and supports per ASME B31.3, gasket and bolt sets included.
